The GROW Action Plan

GROW is a ten-year collective impact strategy that aims to tackle place based disadvantage by seeking to reduce unemployment rates in the most disadvantaged communities across the G21 region.

The success of this collective impact strategy is dependent on the joint commitment of a wide range of stakeholders and businesses across the region.  The team have been working hard to engage with a number of stakeholders and businesses to become signatories to the GROW Compact and develop the collective strength that will tackle place based disadvantage. 

Congratulations on being a foundation or new GROW Compact signatory, collectively with your commitment we hope to make a difference. 

The GROW Compact principles are as follows: 
  1. Support local G21 region businesses and organisations to improve economic and social outcomes.
  2. Support social enterprises and not-for-profit businesses which deliver social outcomes within the G21 region.
  3. Strengthen employment and training opportunities for targeted job seekers with the G21 region.
  4. Collaborate with other GROW members to address disadvantage and support economic participation in our region.
  5. Reflect this commitment in our policy and practice.

One of the commitments of becoming a compact signatory is to develop an action plan within the first twelve months.  This can be a little daunting for some organisations, however, there are a number of relatively easy first steps that can be taken to initiate your journey with social procurement.

The purpose of this online action planning tool is to assist you to choose a number of actions to include in your GROW action plan and once complete will provide you will a ‘ready made’ action plan for approval and endorsement within your organisation.
