Westmoreland County Housing Survey- Adults Ages 60 and Over

Greetings! We are conducting a housing survey of adults ages 60 and older in Westmoreland County to learn about their current housing and future preferences, especially their interest in ECHO housing.

An ECHO unit is a small, separate, manufactured residence that is temporarily placed in the side or rear yard of a host family, related by blood or marriage, for an older adult, providing privacy and dignity to both the elder and the host family. When the ECHO cottage is no longer needed, it is relocated to the property of another host family.

If you are age 60 or older and a Westmoreland County resident, we would greatly appreciate your participation in this survey. Please note:  this is a survey for information gathering purposes and is not an application for assistance. If you want more information on ECHO, contact information is provided at the end of the survey.
The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and your responses will be confidential.  Please complete this survey by October 15, 2019.
If you need assistance completing the survey or have any questions, please contact Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging- Information and Assistance at (724) 830-4444.

Please share the survey with family members or friends age 60 and over who may be interested.

This survey is sponsored by a committee of state and local stakeholders, including representatives of the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA), the Westmoreland County Community Action Agency (WCA), the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA), United Way of Southwestern PA/Open Your Heart to a Senior and Laurel Area Faith In Action.
