WISE, which stands for Workforce Integration Support and Education, is a program of NorCal MHA funded by the Mental Health Services Act (Prop 63) and administered by the California Office of Statewide Planning and Development (OSHPD). Our goal is simple: to help employers in California’s public mental health system recruit and retain consumer and family member staff (“peers”) through genuine workforce integration. To this end, we offer employers training, technical assistance, educational resources, and one-on-one support in all matters related to peer employment, and provide coaching, mentoring, and training for peer staff.
