The Department is embarking on a pilot of a potential data element that would collect information on incoming kindergarten students' early childhood experience. The pilot will help us determine the feasibility of including such an element in future SIMS data collections. We are looking for districts and/or schools who would be willing to participate in the pilot, which will take place starting in April through October.
We have scheduled two conference calls for those districts and/or schools that might be interested in learning more about the data pilot and what the commitment to participate would entail. The hour long conference calls are scheduled for
Thursday, March 23rd at 2:00 or
Friday, March 24th at 11:00. To learn more about the data pilot and to determine interest in participation in it,
please register for one of the scheduled conference calls by March 21st.
