Mission & Purpose

InnovateWriting.org is passionate about helping students realize their potential by expressing their ideas clearly. We have big ambitions for writing in the US as we want to make every student a successful writer that thrives in the 21st century. The first step begins with you, the leaders within our schools.

Our National Survey seeks to create a comprehensive understanding of how the writing process is taught in schools today.

Our goal is to:

•Uncover and assess current traits and characteristics of writing instruction.

•Showcase promising writing instruction strategies within our current educational system.

•Highlight the differences between administrator and teacher attitudes toward writing instruction.

Help us understand, as a nation, what we need to do to improve writing.
