Global Community Fellowship 2017

Thank you for your interest in VIA! For over 50 years we have been helping people like you live and work in communities in Asia.

Before applying to a VIA program, potential applicants are encouraged to carefully examine the fit between VIA’s approach and their own. We encourage you to talk to VIA staff and alumni about the program.

This application has four sections:
  1. Personal Information
  2. Post Preferences
  3. Personal Essay
  4. Resume Upload
Applications are accepted until 11:59 PM PST on November 12th, 2017. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions.
1. Please select your US citizenship/resident status:
If you are not a United States citizen, have you attended a U.S. university (either within the U.S. or internationally)?

Notice Regarding Citizenship

Due to certain visa/work permit restrictions and the needs of our partner organizations, Global Community Fellowship posts are often limited to U.S. citizens/residents, or individuals who have received their bachelor's degree from a U.S. university.

You are still welcome to apply, but please understand that even the most exceptional candidates may not be accepted to the program if we are unable to:
  1. make a mutually agreeable arrangement for the applicant and the partner organization, and/or
  2. support the applicant in obtaining the necessary visas and work permits.
