The goal of this survey is to assist the tourism industry, jurisdictional destination marketing organizations (DMOs), the Maryland Tourism Development Board, and the Maryland Office of Tourism with a self-assessment which will help determine priorities and strategies for the future. The tool presents a framework that tourism leaders and communities can use to critically assess the destination. It also helps to provide focus on critical future needs. The tool is not intended to be a benchmarking index to rank DMOs or destinations.
