Thank you for your application to The Breakfast Club Application! For the past 11 years, The Breakfast Club, led by Cause Effective in partnership with Candid, has empowered and energized development professionals by providing a space and community in the form of monthly workshops for directors of small development shops.
In 2019, we hosted 75 development leaders. Over the past decade, hundreds of development professionals have participated in cohort-building and professional development with The Breakfast Club. This year, we expect to welcome an even larger community of development professionals who are looking to learn and build off of each other's vast experience and expertise.
The Breakfast Club this year will span three Fridays from May to July (May 22nd, June 12th and July 10th). Each session will be 2.5 hours, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
May 22nd: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
June 12th: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
July 10th: 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all sessions will take place virtually, as we gather online to discuss topics that are timely for the current crisis.

To apply for The Breakfast Club, we ask that you fill out this application, being sure to self-qualify given the following specifications:
- You are currently working in a full-time paid position with 3-5 years of experience, and have fewer than five staff members in your development department.
- Are able to attend the three specified dates of programming in May, June and July.
- Are interested in learning and lending your expertise to The Breakfast Club Community.
Upon completion, of the application fee, we ask that you register for The Breakfast Club and pay the registration fee for the program. You can do so at this link. The registration fee for The Breakfast Club is $160 for the entire program.
Applications are due on May 8th. Cause Effective and Candid will review applications for The Breakfast Club 2020 Cohort and will notify applicants on or before May 15th. Applications will also be reviewed on a rolling basis before the application deadline.
