Hurricane Sandy Recovery Survey

Page One

Thank you for your interest in this survey. Your insight and honest responses will help us understand what type of assistance our community needs. If you still have needs as a result of Sandy, please be sure to provide your contact information (requested at the end of the survey), so that we may reach out to you.

Instructions:
This survey is for anyone who owns or rents property in Norwalk, CT. If you own more than one property in Norwalk, then please complete a survey for each property you own.  The survey has 22 questions and should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Survey Purpose:
Many sources of financial assistance are available to communities which sustained damage from Sandy, but a community must show that residents still have needs in order to receive such assistance. North Walke Housing Corporation, a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency, has been and will continue to apply for such assistance and distribute it to households in Norwalk on behalf of the Greater Norwalk Long Term Recovery Group (http://norwalkct.org/hurricanesandyrelief).  The information collected in this survey will allow us to apply for the types of funds and to create the types of programs which are needed in Norwalk.

Background on the Greater Norwalk Long Term Recovery Group:
Immediately following Superstorm Sandy, the Greater Norwalk Long Term Recovery Group (GNLTRG) was developed to provide coordinated management of the long-term recovery needs of individuals impacted by the disaster, particularly those individuals without adequate personal resources for making a full recovery. The GNLTRG is chaired by Michele DeLuca, Deputy Director of Emergency Management. Member organizations include faith-based, non-profit, governmental, business and other organizations and agencies which provide financial support, material and/or labor for the work of the Group.
