2020 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Awards - Student Nominee Submission Form

Submission Guidelines

Please carefully review the following information before submitting:

Congratulations on your 2020 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award Nomination.

In order to complete this online submission form, you will need to gather the following materials:
  • Your school's member number*
  • Your faculty sponsor's name and contact information
  • Up to three (3) Hi Resolution images of your work in jpeg format (20MB limit) and/or video clip(s) for 4-D, kinetic or performance based sculpture only. *Total combination of video/image submissions cannot exceed three (3).
  • An artist statement of no more than 400 words
  • A resume/CV of no more than 400 words

All materials must be submitted via the online submission form, no later than April 1, 2020. No hard copy materials will be accepted.

Please adhere to the following video requirements:
  • Video clips are allowed for kinetic sculptures, performance documentation and 4-D (sound and time based media) submissions only.
  • All video files must be submitted in .WMV format (20MB limit)
  • There are many free, online file conversion services that can transfer files to .wmv format (E.G. - )
  • Limit all video lengths to 30 seconds each
  • Submit only 1 video clip for each sculpture submitted
  • All video files must be named in the following format:
    30 Second Video Submissions
      • E.G. -Smith,J_TitleofWork
    Optional Long Play Video Submissions (Performance, Kinetic and 4-D submissions)
    • Add LP to the end of all long play file names
      • E.G. -Smith,J_TitleofWork_LP
    • Length of video should not to exceed 5 minutes
    • Optional LP videos are submitted in addition to the 30 second video file(s)
  • Works submitted by nominated students must be completed, not in developmental stages.
  • Artwork must be able to endure a year long exhibition with no maintenance requirements..
  • There will be no substitution of artwork for any Student Award program exhibitions unless requested.
  • Each sculpture submitted must be available for exhibition and for the duration of the traveling exhibition, through 2021.
  • Each piece chosen MUST be properly crated/packaged for cross country travel.
  • In the event that an award recipient’s work is unable to be accommodated by the venue for the traveling exhibit, the ISC reserves the right to exclude said work from the traveling exhibit. All reasonable attempts will be made to accommodate the specific award-winning artwork and/or to work with the artist to identify an alternative artwork for inclusion in the traveling exhibition.
  • Artwork size maximum is 10ft/3m in any direction.
Any submissions that are incomplete or do not adhere to the guidelines may be excluded from jury review.
